With the release of Gurobi Optimizer v12, there was a significant change in how AMPL integrates with Gurobi. Historically, Gurobi provided a separate solver package for AMPL users, which would need to be installed and configured independently. However, starting with Gurobi v12, AMPL now handles the integration with Gurobi.
